Hi all together,
this is my first post and I hope someone can help, because I am really desperate. I will have a concert in a few days and what I really need for this is an ok Rhodes/Wurlitzer Sound. The problem is that I only have a Nord Lead 2 for this concert. Is there a possibility to create a sound like this on the Nord Lead 2? And if so, how? The factory presets that I found dont really sound like I want it to. They all sound a bit too hard. it would be really nice if someone could help me with that. Thank you very much!

Hey JoeJoe, welcome to the forums.
I made such a patch a few months ago. PM me and I'll throw it to you.
EDIT: I've just attached here.
You may have to adjust the dynamic expression tweaking the morphed parameters: gain, cut off frequency, oscillators mix, FM amount IIRC.

Re: Rhodes/Wurlitzer Sound on Nord Lead 2 for a Concert!
Thank you very much for the quick reply. I have a few more questions and hopefully these are not stupid:
- does this patch also work for the Nord Lead 2? Or is this for the Nord Lead 2x? The file name sounds like it is for the NL2x.
- And if it is for the NL2 how can I get it on there without a PCMCIA Card?
- Or is there a possibility somehow to describe which knobs to tweak in which way, in order to get a Rhodes sound out of the NL2?
Your help is really appreciated.

Hi JoeJoe,
just to chime in, the patch should work on both the NL2 and NL2 as they are fully patch compatible.
The easiest way to load the patch is via MIDI usingt ans Sysex MIDI Tool such as MIDI Ox or any other.

Honestly... well, there must be a way... but I remember having tweaked it A LOT. The most important part was the morphingto have it the most expressive possible.
I chose not to program a super complex "performance" (i.e. 2 to 4 patches layered / split) and to keep the sound design within the "patch" limits. I did not mind if it sounds not exaclty like a eal EP.
However I put some effort in play it, tweak it, play it again, tweak it again etc so that it feels like a real EP.
EDIT: you may want to use a light overdrive to get the EP grit...
