Cheers,

So I finally got my Electro 3 HP. I am so pleased its unbelievable. This makes my Roland RD700GX look so sad and tired by comparison. The sounds are so lively, and I can create such soundscapes with the different effects. I love the vox organ.

I might add more the the review later, but this was clearly the best musical purchase I've ever made.

Thanks for everyone's advice and help! :)

I've found the same issue of bouncing keys when playing organ. When using the high trigger point and playing choppy chords or sometimes quick single note passages the bounce in the weighted keys triggers the note by itself. I've found that it rarely happens and I don't notice it being a problem when I switch back to the lower -trigger point. So for me, with my playing style
and feel for organ playing the high trigger point is a feature I really can't use. Having said that I'm becoming used to playing organ parts this way and while it would feel better on a normal E3 (which I own and use sometimes) I don't regret having the E3HP when I only want to gig with a single keyboard.

I recently bought the Electro 3HP, and cannot make it double-bounce if the organ response point is set to Low. I have no trouble playing it at that setting, perhaps because I come from a piano background. If the trigger is set to High I do occasionally get the double-bounce on single staccato notes.

Hi,

I have the NE3 HP since a month, i like to play epiano on this keyboard.
And I confirm that you can play organ too without much problem !
I think it's a very versatile keyboard.

Try it for one hour minimum if you can.

I own a Hammond B3 and the Nord Electro 3 HP. I set the key trigger point to "high" for the organ sounds. The "bouncing key" issue others have noted does occur sometimes - but only if I temporarily forget what board I'm playing. I wouldn't want to play the staccato descending triads on, say, the organ solo to "Fly Like an Eagle" with the HP keys at either trigger point -- you will get a bizzare delay effect in those cases.

If you're doing fast scales, though (think of the organ solo on Boston's "Smokin' ", or some Jimmy Smith or Robert Walter blues licks/melody lines), you will be okay IF you have a light touch when you play. Personally, I "play around" the shortcomings of the HP/high trigger organ approach by changing my technique to fit on solos (avoid anything staccato and stick with licks, drawbar techniques, etc. For block chording and palm smears to slide up to a chord, it's fine. You just need to spend some time with it in those cases.

All in all -- having a board this versatile and portable (fits PERFECTLY in the SKB 61 key (that's right, 61 key) ATA hard case with wheels (model 1SKB-4214W), and weighs in at about 41 lbs. in that specific case, so is airplane-friendly) easily offsets the fact that the keyboard action can't be flawless at everything.

I too found the bouncing triggering unwanted notes when set to the high trigger point. It happened enough that it was annoying and I
had to go back to the lower setting which for me, cured the problem. It wasn't that big a deal adjusting to that setting because in pervious
years I had been triggering a Nord Electro 2 rack with a Roland RD 300GX piano and the feel was similar.
