Re: New user, simple question...
If I understand page 19 of the manual (section Morph Destinations) correctly you can't. I thought you could, but apparently not.

Re: New user, simple question...
It's very simple: you have two kinds of rotary controls: the "normal" knobs, and then the "LED-crowned" stopless rotary encoders. The latter are morphable (that is, controllable via wheel, aftertouch or control pedal), the former are not. I think this is a shame, personnally (HEAR THIS, CLAVIA ? THIS IS A HUGE DOWNSTEP FROM YOUR NORDLEAD3'S PERFECT INTERFACE!), but that's the way it is.
So, in short, the answer to your question is no. Clavia didn't seem to think we needed this. You can join me in the moaning.

Re: New user, simple question...
The rotary "slow/stop fast" button can be morphed.

Re: New user, simple question...
This thread contains a workaround: nord-stage-forum-f3/external-section-to-morph-the-unmorphable-t1741.html

Is that really a morph, technically ? Or is it achieved through an controller input other than wheel/controlpedal/aftertouch ? (...like a switch pedal, for example)
That's just from the top of my head, of course. I should go and try....

Clever trick. And that looped MIDI cable could remain there always, like it's part of our NS2. Then we can start making patched that morph anything. Neat.

I'll try. First, you need a MIDI cable. Probably, if a cable has the correct plugs, it will work; I have two cables that do even though they are not dedicated MIDI cables. Use this cable to connect MIDI Out to MIDI In on the Stage.
In the Stage 2 MIDI menu:
- Set the global channel to "off."
- Set the slot A channel to 1, and the slot B channel to 2. (Use the regular slot buttons to switch between slots.)
- Set all other channels to "off."
- Since the Dual KB channel does not have any "off" setting, set it to something "USB." (See this thread: nord-stage-forum-f3/ns2-midi-input-is-read-ok-but-triggers-no-sound-t3276.html)
- Set the Extern mode to "global."
- Set the Extern A channel to 1, and the Extern B channel to 2.
- Set "Send on Load" to "on."
- Set "Soft thru" to "off."
- Set the controller number to 83. (See the MIDI Controller list on page 58 of the manual.)
- Set everything else to "off" or "no," respectively.
- Hit Shift + KB Zone Select until all three zone LEDs are off again. (Other LEDs in the Extern section should still be on.)
- Turn off the PStick and SustPed LEDs of the Extern section.
- Hit the Parameter button of the Extern section until the "MIDI CC" LED lights up.
- Turn the Parameter knob to set the initial Drive value. You should see the MIDI LED flashing, and hear the difference in overdrive.
- Hold down the ATouch morph button, and turn the Parameter knob further to the right.
- Test whether you can use aftertouch to control overdrive as intended.
- Save the program.

It's really a morph. In fact, it allows you to change the speed continuously, unlike the rotor pedal (as far as I know).

Re: New user, simple question...
Yes, if you use the mod wheel to morph leslie speed, you can put the mod wheel in the middle and get a middle-speed rotor.. Personally I think it's silly, but it's possible!
