Hi,
I bought a used Nord Electro 73 and it's a wonderful instrument. However there seems to be a slight reverb in the highest octave keys starting from F. There was a Steinway (acgrand6) sound installed and I just installed the Malmsjö piano (acgrand3) with no improvement. Any guesses?

Re: Unwanted reverb
Hello Thomas,
I assume you checked no chorus effect or something like that was active? Did you listen with headphones, or speakers?

Re: Unwanted reverb
Yes, no effects. Reverb is present with headphones and both OUTs. It appears only with electric and acoustic piano. It's funny because NE doesn't even have reverb effect. Maybe it has something to do with sounds upgraded to match NE3 which has reverb.

Re: Unwanted reverb
Really Reverb? Or hear You (more likely) undamped strings in the top octave? This (+/- 1,5 octave) is normal for a real piano (and also for a good piano-sample).

Re: Unwanted reverb
Ok, now that's interesting. Maybe that is the explanation. Thanks a bunch!

Re: Unwanted reverb
Derp, thanks for clarifying that Wilrud
I did some googling and found this post buy someone from Korg interesting: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... f70#441355
Btw. does someone know if the Nord piano's include a bit of room ambiance, or are they completely dry? It sounds to me like a bit of room ambiance is included, while the pianos on my Roland Fantom G didn't (and sounded more synthetic/plastic).

Re: Unwanted reverb
When it comes to piano, ambiance can be both the room ambiance or the instrument resonnance. I guess our friend is hear the later. I remember finding this cool when I caught it the first time
