V check on comparison chart

Postby lvercaut » 30 Jan 2012, 16:02

For what is the V check there in the first line of the comparison chart on the Clavia website ?
Both piano's share the same amount ( 500 mb ) of memory...

Hanon, thanks for the quick respons.
I was thinking ( dreaming ) that maybe this memory could be replaced or upgraded for future piano updates.
Ok, back to reality now...

NP vrs NP2 Comparison Chart:
http://www.nordkeyboards.se/home/images ... 0chart.pdf

If this helps... I was informed by Nord Tech Support that the 500 Meg is only for Piano memory. The additional 128 Meg (new feature for the NP2) is for the Nord Library or loading our own wav samples.

http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?tm=Home
According to the nord keyboard website: "All sounds can be replaced". I am assuming this includes the piano sounds or at least I would hope so.

Hello SynthzGuy,
the V check in the comparison chart indicates " differences " between the NP and the NP2.
Since they both have 500 meg memory, then why there is a V check there ?

Hello Ivercaut-

Good point.
On the NP, were the 500 MB Piano sounds replaceable ? (I do not know)

I am new to Nord and this forum, and by all means not an export on the NP or NP2. Maybe the V Check Mark means that on the NP2 "All sounds", including these 500 meg pianos can be replaced and they forgot to make the text "500 MB" (Green at the right). At least that is what is mentioned here in the description: http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?tm=Home

At least for me, this is how I interpret it and how Nord Tech Support described. I hope that is the case.

Hello All,
I have been in contact with Clavia.
The check mark on the top line of the Piano comparison chart (500 Meg memory) is an error, this feature remains unchanged.
Cheers, Hanon

I had already ordered mine, but that is still nice to know. As long as they are not taking that feature away that is what matters.

What is new... is the 128 Meg of Sample Libraray not available on the NP (transposable & independent sustain). That's so cool... I will definely be using this alot and just one of the reasons I like this new NP2.

Thanks Hanon for clearing this up.
