I would certainly like a VERY LIGHTWEIGHT Stage 2 with either 73 or 76 keys and Hammer Action Portable keyboard as used in the Electro 3 HP. The weight should be around 11 (max. 12) kg, so that the total weight with gigbag should be around 14 (max. 15) kg.
At the moment I use a Stage EX HA88, which I like very much. However the Stage EX itself has a weight of 18,5 kg and together with the original gigbag it comes to a total weigth of around 27 kg. Due to back problems I unfortunately have to reduce the weight of my stage setup. The Electro 3 HP would be a good option, but has less Piano sample size than my current Stage EX and has no layer functionalities.

I would really like that there were an option for the pianos in which we could eliminate the long sustain of the high pitched notes. I know that a real piano sounds like that, but sometimes it's a little disturbing, for example when playing some blues licks. I think it would be great to have that option.

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
They should make it possible to octave shift the piano section UP one octave. I have the NS2 76, and I can't access the highest 5 notes in a piano's range. It would also help a lot of split keyboard settings where you need the piano section an octave higher. It should be an easy OS update.

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
1. A Pianet for the piano section would be nice. The samples from Pontus are excellent but you only get one velocity layer.
2. If the Sample Editor could open nsmp files it would be a lot easier to make your own split samples - no need for resampling. The parent wav files must be contained within the nsmp so this may be technically possible.
3. Pitch bend range which can be set per-program. It's difficult to understand why it's not already a feature. Maybe it's difficult to implement on organ and piano sections, but if it were just available for the Synth that would cover most situations.
4. Ability to pitchbend using Aftertouch

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
1. Already asked for...but I get irritated by the fact that a sound is cut short when I change program (I know SLOTS do not do this but sometimes I am using both slots for a patch...)..can this be fixed so that PROGRAM change is the same as SLOT Change?
2. Would like to see Program SLOT contents maintainable in the SOUND MANAGER software
Plus >>added 23/01/2012
3. A display of what is mapped to the Morph functions
4. SOUND MANAGER to maintain Morph mappings to per patch /slot
Plus >>added 03/02/2012
5. Control over SENSITIVITY (Curves) for Aftertouch etc
Ta

Being a starting musician, I find the lack of something simple as a Metronome a big miss.
Shouldnt be too hard to program this into the unit.

While you are waiting for the proper fix, here is one temporary fix/hack for you. This one is not perfect though. After the metronome starts (press a key), you should disconnect it from the keyboard. I do it using SHIFT + SYNTH / KB ZONE SELECT. The manual says: "No indicator lit" ... "This alternative is only avilable when an instrument has been assigned an individual MIDI channel." (page 20) That means that you have to assign a MIDI channel to use the metronome this way. Alternatively you can assign the synth to an unused zone in the keyboard. Use SYNTH / ARPEGGIATOR / RATE to set the speed.

NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
Slightly larger more informative screen.
Altho I do understand Nord's concept...this is the Stage 2 we are talking about and it's a ton going on for the screen to be that small and not give more information immediately than it currently does.
