Re: Does Electro 4 have switchable voltage transformer?
Remember, most dealers will honor their agreements with the manufacturer and refuse to ship overseas. It is possible to find ones that will ignore their obligations, just have to look hard enough.

Re: Does Electro 4 have switchable voltage transformer?
To escape the electro-physics (and mot wishing to repeat high school I checked the fuse currently (!) in my E2. 125mA, as suggested by MJ, rated to carry half the US current (Darren). My mistake was thinking I needed to maintain the same current, rather than the same power.

Electro 4DSW61 from US to UK
I'm taking my 4Dsw61 from the US to London this week and was wondering if I'd need an adapter, fuse etc? I'm fairly certain the new models still have a voltage switch but not positive. Also, do I need to switch it if I'm using a plugin adapter on the wall outlet? Thanks for any help. It hasn't been easy getting any info from the company.

It's unclear what you mean by "plugin adapter" and a misunderstanding could be fatal to the keyboard if you apply 220V to a USA-configured Nord.
The switch is inside the Nord and requires disassembling your Nord and replacing the fuse to enable. Login and search this site or youtube for examples. This is probably worthwhile if you plan to stay a long time and gig or record, but not recommended for the inexperienced.
Otherwise:
The simplest thing is to get a 220V to 110V power converter or transformer similar to this:220 to 110 Converter. You need more than 33Watt rating (I suggest a minimum of 50Watts). Buy a reputable brand.
The connection goes:
Wall socket : Plug Adapter : 220V to 110V Transformer(Converter) : Standard USA Plug into Nord
I hope this helps.

Re: Does Electro 4 have switchable voltage transformer?
For the record, voltage in the UK (and the rest of the EU) is 230 volts, not 220, despite that 220v would be within the tolerance of electronic appliances. Make sure that the transformer you buy also has a UK connector, as those are different than other EU countries andcthe US ones.

Is the 220V to 110V power converter usable in Europe as well?
Tried the Hogwarts House quiz 3 times. Slytherin.

I saw the Amazon reviews of the Samsonite, and some users noticed its not recommended for use with electronics... Do not use it.

In Europe you need the opposite i.e. a 110V to 220V converter.

I think Jemmusic_ wants to use a USA keyboard (needs 110V) operating from 220V(or 230V) mains in Europe. The transformer needs to step-down from 230V to 110V.

You are right, my mistake; he needs a "step down" (220 mains ->110V device) converter, I had in mind a "110 to 220V adapter" (the same but seen from the device point of view).
(However I would rather go for buying the appropriate fuse and switch the voltage directly inside the NE, as discussed in another post opened by Jemmusic_ on the same topic)
