Hello Guys, (new forum user here)
2 questions:
1.
I own the Nord Stage 88 since it's release and I am very happy with it but there's something that I miss in such an instrument.
Why is it impossible to traspose more than +-1 octave for every instrument?
And I don't mean the global trasposition, just the octave shifts on every instrument section should be more than only 1 octave.
I guess I don't have to explain and be more specific about the benefits of such a feature especially when splitting the board.
2.
Is it possible to recreate the sound from Mothers Finest "Baby Love" in the middle of the song where the Keyboard player does something like a solo?
Here is the song on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bi41K4zY ... re=related
I mean the sound being heard from 1:52min til 2:13min. I'm interested especially in how to do this "tweak" in the end of the solo.
I guess it can be done with "portamento" but i'd like to do it with a "knob" and controll it in real time with my hands.
Thanx in advance!

Re: Traspose range + Synth sound question
1. Agree
2. I believe it's only possible with the portamento knob. You can modify it while playing so it's not set to a high value during the solo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6M843hOkQs&feature=rec-r2-2r-5-HM
Maybe Clavia could fix these issues in an upcoming OS update. I encourage you to let them know.

Re: Traspose range + Synth sound question
Hi there,
i've made a sound myself for Babylove. I've got a preset for the verse and a different one for the solo. Is there anyway I can upload it here?

Re: Traspose range + Synth sound question
Hi Jorgen,
actually Uploads are in the PHPBB Forums only permitted for registered users, sorry. But it just takes a minute and you can upload them (best if you include a small mp3 sample) in the "Nord Stage Patches .npsg" Sub-Forum as it allows for nspg and MP3 files to be uploaded.
Hope that helps.
Johannes

I agree I have found this frustrating also, but what I have learned is that if the range (within a split) of the instrument is limited, you can shift it more than 1 octave. For example: I play my Stage 88 most of the time with the Lo & Hi Split on almost exactly splitting the keyboard into 3 parts.
Piano - across all 3 zones (can only shift -1 octave)
Synth - across lower 2 zones (can shift -1, +4 octaves)
Organ - middle zone onle (can shift -2, +4 octaves)
if that could work for your setting, then great, if not...thought I'd try :)
