Hi Mike,
when I think back on all the instruments that I've had and gigged with over the last 35 years, it's mind blowing.
I guess the biggest culture shock (at least when looking back) was a Rhodes was only ever a Rhodes, a Farfisa was only ever a Farfisa, but an Electro 3 is all of that and more.
It's 20 times lighter and 100 times more powerful than this rig:

I gigged for the longest time with a Rhodes Stage 73, Hammond A100, an ARP Odyssey, and a Moog Multimoog. If it couldn't be done on one of those instruments, it didn't get done.
Cheers, Hanon

I have a Yamaha organ which was a hand me down from my mom who was an organ player/enthusiast as well.

It was really a nice piece and one that worked to my advantage in being able to familiarize myself and play with the whole instrument.

Never really got to go places with it but at least I am able to play now and use it to record a few tracks on Garage Band.

Besides church organs....my first electric organ was a Philicorda back in the early 70ies.

My very first instrument at all was a Korg CX-3, that I bought second-hand in the mid-1980s.

I sold it in the end of the 90s - because of doing more and more home recording (and there was no MIDI in the CX-3).

My first organ was a Hammond XB-2. It was used, cheap and hooked me to playing the organ. Insofar it absolutely did the trick for me. The action was horrible, the plastic verneer peeled off, but through a Boss RT-20 or a real Leslie the thing sounded halfway decent. And when it started to die from expired processors inside, I traded it in for a used Nord Electro 2 :D

Kustom Combo Organ, when I was in eighth grade (1969). Tuck and roll black vinyl, single manual. It had four 10" speakers in the cabinet, all facing forward.

I bought someone's grandmother's Hammond L100 in 1976. Not one of the better models that's for sure. Put some handles on it and made a dolly to cart it around.

My first organ was a Farfisa Partner 14. Bought from my parents middle of the 1970s. To big and heavy to carry from home into a bands room. I’m happy now with my stage 2 and the keyboard stand. Now it’s possible to carry around.

Hi

My first organ was a Solton B 2000. It looks like a mixture between a awkward light show and a children coffin. The sound was horrible.

I played it in a hard rock band. The sound was pressed through a guitar distortion module and the amp was a dynachord Leslie.

But it was extremely funny and the sound unique. A hard rain destroyed this organ during a open air live concert.

Cheers
