Mod wheel gone crazy!! pls help. . .

Postby WendyRed » 08 Sep 2013, 09:28

Dear all,

I've been searching around the internet and this forum and can't find any posts about the particular problem I'm having. I use the mod wheel to morph certain aspects of my programs, recently I noticed when using the mod wheel that it started to affect settings that I didn't have it assigned to. I switched off all morphs, and it was still doing it! I playing a program that didn't have any morphs assigned and using the mod wheel is still doing weird things. Each time I roll the wheel to the top it changes a different parameter, it seems to be cycling through all the different settings on the keyboard. I have tried restoring an older back-up and now it's just doing the same thing more than ever. I'm currently downloading the Factory Programs to restore back to original settings and see if this helps. Does anyone else have any ideas? I would really appreciate it!

Do you happen to have a MIDI interface you can connect to your computer? If so, do you have a Mac or a Windows PC?

Update on this issue: Dear all just wanted to provide an update on this issue in case anyone else has the same problem. Took my Nord Wave in for repairs and looks like it is the processor that's on the fritz :( going to cost about $1800 for a new one, pretty sad as isn't a very old unit, but got it second hand so no warranty *sigh*. Anyway thanks for your help mjbrands. I have a gig coming up so I'm having to try and find one for hire, but can only seem to get Nord Leads, not sure will I be able to restore my wave back-up / sounds onto a lead?

Unfortunately not, they're quite different machines and the data won't be compatible.
