invalid programs/ sound manager connection issues

Postby cschroeter » 10 Oct 2011, 00:22

Hey guys,

i'm trying to set up some sounds on my keyboard through the nord sound manager, but i'm having some problems.

when i turn on my keyboard and it starts loading, the display says it found 2 invalid programs. then it continues loading and the rest of the patches work just fine. the invalid programs are 1:1 and 1:2.
this is fine for now, but i can't connect my computer via usb to the sound manager because it says "unable to synchronize program partition. please reconnect usb cable."

i tried to do a factory reset of all the patches through the sound manager, but because it won't connect, i can't do anything!

is there any way i can do a factory reset within the keyboard itself? NOT connecting it to a computer? or is there a way to fix this computer issue? i'm willing to lose all my stored patches (because i can't back them up via the sound manager right now either) just so i can move forward. i do have the latest software installed on the nord and the latest software of the sound manager.

thanks in advance for any help!

Hi
Can you try and Store some other programs to those two program locations, and see if this changes anything?

If this does not change anything, please get in touch with us at the http://www.nordkeyboards.com website, via the Support form.

Have you found a solution to this problem? I'm having the same problem.

And it's deleting patches on the keyboard, saying "Invalid File" on the keyboard, and "unable to synchronize" when I try to connect the Sound Manager.

Last night i re-installed the OS and it fixed it, but the very next time I tried to connect, it happened again, and re-installing the OS is not fixing it this time. My Nord Electro synchronizes just fine, using the same computer, and the same USB cable, same port, same Sound Manager.

The computer/USB is successfully updating the OS on the Nord Wave, so there is a successful connection. I've updated the USB drivers also, that didn't help either.

It all used to work fine, it seems more recent (and I recently installed the latest Sound Manager, so might it be a bug with that and the Nord Wave OS?)
