Have the Electro 2 61, fabulous instrument,
and based on ability to import and morph my own wav
samples into it, am sure the Wave will be super too.
New to this forum and the Wave, can anyone comment on the
ability to load the instruments for Electro 2
like the acoustic piano or wurlitzer piano for example,
into the Wave? Can the Electro 2 samples be loaded to Wave?
I guess the question is, are the samples in the sample
libraries compatible between these instruments?
Thanks for any clarification you can offer!

Re: Acoustic Piano / Electric Piano from Electro 2?
Welcome to the forum Freddie.
I don't know the Electro 2 itself, but if it uses the normal Nord Sample Library (like the Electro 3, Stage 2 and Wave) then you can indeed load the same samples on both.
With 'normal' I mean sounds created with the Nord Sample Editor or found at this location: http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?t ... le_Library
Cheers,
Mathijs

The Wave does not have a Piano Sample partition, just a partition for other samples. You could load a custom sample you or someone else created,, but the Wave does not have the ability to load samples from the Nord piano library because the internal design is different from an Electro 3, which can.

Okay, thanks for the replies - I understand now that the Piano sounds for Electro 2
can't be loaded to Wave. But, there are enough good samples provided and user samples for
the Wave!

Re: Acoustic Piano / Electric Piano from Electro 2?
I don't think there has been a lot of demand for piano samples on the Wave so far because the Wave is a synth first and foremost. An accurate multi-sample of an acoustic piano with good looping is not an easy task and would be pretty large. Electric piano samples tend to be much smaller. Definitely possible to do, but I don't know of any that are currently available.
