When I download a sample that somebody did, its not sounding the same as the mp3 file.

Any suggestions?
I have have an Electro 5

Sample don't sound the same?

Have you started from a fully clean (init) program? Ensure you have no effects/eq or other modifier active, so you can listen to the raw samples (some hints on how to do that on this thread post82361.html)
Then try to activate, one by one, the velocity and/or filter vel of the Sample Synth (to add dynamics) and maybe also try to tweak the envelope. After you get to a satisfactory sound, you can add reverb and/or EQ or other effects if needed.
PS : it is not impossible that those .mp3 instead were recorded with some settings, effects (reverb) or EQ as well, but even if that was the case they are not published, so try and find your own settings and forget the sound of .mp3s

Did you read this?
All demo s of the sounds are using the NE3 with reverb and Chor1 and a little EQ.
