Roland XP-10 Patches for Nord

Postby samrosscreations » 09 Feb 2015, 15:07

Hi there everyone,

I am looking to see if anyone has made any patches of the Roland XP-10 "Ballad B" or "Full Organ" Organ sounds? If not, even a collection of the samples would be great and then I can make my own patch.

I am a reggae player you see and am trying to gather some nice classic reggae organ sounds to put onto my Nord Electro 4D, but I don't own an XP-10 or similar Roland keyboard to sample. I have recently made a patch for the Korg Triton "Jazz Organ 2" which although sounds a little different due to the Nord effect processors and not having the Triton ones, it still cuts through the mix nicely for the Bubble :)

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you guys.

Hello,

I own a XP-10 and a NE-3. Never did any sound creation but i can try to provide you the raw material for making the NSMP file. I tried to record an WAV from the "Full Organ" Sample. See if it works and let me know.
Ps. I did't find the "Ballad B" sample yet. Didn't find Ballad B anywhere in the XP-10. If you know where it is, tell me so I can Make the WAV file for you. Okay?

Cheers,

TGSA

Hello Again,

It seens to be pretty easy to use the Sample Editor. I tried something with 3 samples from the XP-10s C4, C5 and C6. Ill attach the wav and NSMP files that I managed to create. See what you think.

Cheers,

TGSA

Hi there TGSA,

Thanks so much for your messages! So sorry, I've only just read them as for some reason I wasn't notified via e-mail?!

Very kind of you to sample the Full Organ for me. Due to not actually knowing that someone had replied, I actually went out and bought an XP-10 for myself 2nd hand off ebay for £50 so sampled it myself. It sounds great on the Nord but I've actually decided to imitate the setting using the in build organ engine as obviously it has a much more authentic sound to it and much more rootsy for the music I play. There is something quite magical about the XP-10 Full Organ patch though what with the every half an octave sample being used for the rest of the keys. Some other great sounds on it too such as the Orchestra hits and some lovely sounding synths so definitely a great purchase for the price I got it :)

All the best mate and thanks once again!
