Hello Everybody,
New here (a few posts on the Nord Electro Forum but none on the Samples section yet), I am a happy Owner of a Nord Electro 5 HP.

I am looking for a sound : The Rhodes Key clicks, when the little hammer hits the metal bar of this rhodes instruments.

You can ear it well in this great video :


I am satisfied with the Rhodes sounds of the NE5 but I wish I could put this Key Sound, and it's a possible thing with the Electro 5. It has the ability to put a Piano Sound and a Sample together

I tried with this sample here :

But the result was that the sound was not what I expected.

Anyway, I am looking for something more loud or more metalic.

Has anyone something like this ?
Or is there a free bank that I could use anywhere (wav files to put in the Nord Sample program) ?

Hello,
No very good samaritain in the Nord Community to sample a Kronos (in which those rhodes click keys exists) or to indicate where I could find that ?

I've just bought another MK1 Rhodes... won't be ready to play / sample until Jan next year though (needs restoration). We could revisit this if you haven't found anything by then.

It would be very interesting to have samples of your Rhodes when ever you can. I will wait until january to ear that believe me !

Meanwhile, I wonder how I could sample those clic sounds on a Kronos or where I can find those sounds. This would make the Nord keyboards achieve a level of realism in Ep sounds very very interesting ....

If someone has an idea, I am ready to work on it!

Here I come back to you again.
We are in january and I did not forget your proposition
I did not find those click key sounds to mix it with the EP sounds proposed by Nord. So if you or someone has a way to do that, it would be very nice.

Thanks for your message but ...
I've already tried this sample as I mentioned at first, an the result on the NE5 was not what I've expected.
So I'm still looking for this sound metalic key click ... Sampling a Kronos or a real Rhodes with it's sound off would be cool, but I don't have one or the other to do it ...

Hi DeFursak, sorry I didn't read carefullly your first post. I am afraid there are no free ".wav" libraries of those noises either, otherwise that may have been an option

I agree with you. I've looked on Internet as well, and no free such things, you are right.
But no samples like that to buy either!
That's why I'm asking here for someone who could have an idea

Hi - I'm still here but the rhodes is in pieces around my house. It is next on my to do list ... sorry couldn't get anything sooner!
