Distorted Electric Guitar Sound

Post by ejwalker »

I've heard it's hard to find an electric guitar sound on keyboards that sounds realistic. But I know it can be done, I saw some videos of this being done on some Yamaha keyboards with a pitch wheel.

I'm looking for a distorted guitar sound I can use for rhythm parts of songs such as ZZ Tops La Grange, Or You Shook Me by AC/DC. I'd play it so the lead guitarist can go off and do his solos. So basically, a voice/sound that plays good power chords.

Does anyone have samples or sounds they can point me to for this? I have a Nord Stage 2.

I have an idea for this... Might go and have a play to see what I can come up with that may be useable.

Well, the first tip is probably to avoid posting exactly the same question on four different topics at the same time.

;) :thanx:

For distorted guitars sound, I use Rhodes or clavinet with an amp sim.

Or a Little Phatty with the Tech 21 Blonde. Should work similarly with synth Nord engine...
