Tried to create a robotic sound using apple's 'text to speech' played through a Vocoder. Trigger the wav files in order (1 to 16) on beat 1 of each bar, and it should fit the song. They're recorded @ 116 bpm if you're playing to a click.

*Edit* The WAV files are now sampled at 44.1kHz, rather than 48kHz, so they're compatible with the Nord Sample Editor. I've also made an attempt at an 'nsmp' file. I don't own a Nord keyboard, so would appreciate feedback as to whether it works or not. The samples start at C3, and should be played one by one in a chromatic scale up to D#4.

Hi !

With the samples of "Byrney" (thanks to you !). I separated each word / syllable in my DAW, assign & export again. I found that it's better for live playing... (Now, not need to be in tempo)

3 x 8 samples, start on the C notes, in chromatic : one (8 samples) for the Bm & D chord, one (8 samples) for the F#m chord & one (8 samples) for the E chord.

Here is the nord sample for sharing. I will try it this weekend ! :keyboard:

Thanks for uploading this, i had a good mess about with it but unfortunately i need one much closer to the original I'm afraid :(

i REALLY like the idea of separating the syllables, I'd maybe even try it in divisions of 8th or 16ths or something so by rhythmically following the beat in upwards steps would trigger the vocal on cue with the beat..

i bet there loads of nord users after this type of patch :)

Speaking of which - is there a proper pro site out out there yet with presets for wedding bands etc??
I've been hunting the web for such a thing but all i can find is this.....

You should get an outboard vocoder like EHX V256 or something from TC Electronics, that way you're not limited to the samples you got... You'll need a microphone too, but I think that everyone should have at least one microphone :D
