Hi. After much deliberation I finally bought a Piano 2 HP.
I'm really impressed with the sound, and the overally build quality, but I'm finding the keyboard uncomfortable to play because of sharp edges on the corners of the white keys.
Any suggestions? A suitable abrasive to smooth them off maybe?
Thanks

Hej G!
Eh ... it's a HP model ... are you trying to use organ key sweeps and stuff like that? Then you might be in trouble - the HP action is a bit stiff for that ... you might hurt your fingers ... ?
(Been there, done that.)

Hej M,
No, not really into organ stuff (play an accordion for that!). I reckon having short fingers doesn't help though

Hi Goe,
Would it be better with a HA action ?
Are edges sharper on the HP than HA ?

Re: Piano 2 HP - Sharp Edges on Keyboard
I have had exactly the same problem on a Nord Stage 2 EX 88 (maybe the same keyboard from the Italian sub-supplier?)
I was not prepared to use sandpaper on such a fine instrument; it's now returned to the factory and I'm buying a Roland RD2000.
When Clavia sorts out this problem (maybe with a keyboard fully handmade in Sweden) I'll buy Nord again!!

If you want to try it, someone posted instructions on how to do it on a different keyboard in the thread at
https://www.gearslutz.com/board/electro ... lease.html
I imagine the same approach would work in this case.

So sorry, no issues in my world. I have two Nord Piano 2 88s, and I love them both. No, they're not the same as my bomb-ass acoustic pianos, but they do the job admirably well in a live setting. I hope you can have the same experience1
I think I have gear issues ....

Re: Piano 2 HP - Sharp Edges on Keyboard
I had the same problem on a Nord Stage 2 EX 88 bought in 2017 .. and now returned to Clavia.
The edges are very sharp - in connection with down-up movements along the white keys (e.g. for large/over an octave accord).
I had to return the keyboard to Clavia and will now buy a Roland RD2000!

Just FYI the "Italian supplier" provides keybeds also to Kurzweil and others; of course as any supplier they have to do their Quality controls checks, but also the Swedish or US (or any other nation's) manufacturer receiving and mounting them should do their QC checks before shipping the final product... or not?
Regs.
PS: btw the OP of thsk post had an HA not an HP and it was never clarified if the edges where actually "sharp" or it was a problem of expectations.
