velocity of aftertouch problem :(
I morph the pich of osc, 12 semitones up, to the aftertouch. When I press the keys (E1 and between C6 - E7 ) with max aftertouch they sound lover than 12 semitones . so velocity of aftertouch cant reach the highest level between C6 - E7 even I press maximum. Does anyone has this? is it a hardware or software problem?

Re: velocity of aftertouch problem :(
I don't have a Stage to test, but it's possible that you simply can't press a key hard enough to get to its max value. A solution could be to set the morph to something greater than 12 semitones, such that you actually get 12 when you press it as hard as you can. (BTW, this would not be related to velocity.)

You don't say which Stage you owned. No problem like that on my NS3 compact.
Actual synth: Nord Modular G2 - Nord Stage 3 73 - Virus Ti2 - Peak - Prophet 6
Before: Nord Lead 3 & 4, Stage 1&2, Wave, Virus C, DSI Tetra, P12, and few others...

Yes, this could vary with which action you're using, and how strong your fingers are!

Re: velocity of aftertouch problem :(
Dear friends , its a NS3 compact 1.32 version ... As I write before it is happened when I press the hardest value only between the keys C6 - E7 and the key E1 so the other keys are work normal so if I make it more than 12 semitones than the keys except C6 - E7 will be more than 12 semitones because they work normal whan i morph 12 semitones they go 12 semitones but the others don't so there is a problem about that keys sure .... I ll put a video to show what happens...

Ah, I didn't realize it was *only* those keys. I'll be curious to see if any other Stage owners note an inconsistency in max aftertouch on different keys, I suspect it's a flaw in your unit.

Re: velocity of aftertouch problem :(
On my Stage 3 HP76, I have to press hard on the key to activate aftertouch. Is it possible to adjust the sensitivity of keys ?

Re: velocity of aftertouch problem :(
No I do not think it is possible to adjust this, same in the NS2. I call it 'Herculean aftertouch"
The issue described in the thread, however, is quite strange. The sensor is I think one of those pressure variable resistors, which I suppose should be the same everywhere, and one would not expect a difference from key to key (yet that is what the video shows). So I wonder if the sensor is damaged or the key part that applies the pressure is, mechanically, not sitting as it should over the sensor, resulting in the pressure applied to be in the wrong place.

Thanks !
The aftertouch sensor is at the beginning of the touch under the white felt ... the assembly of Fatar keyboard is often not irreproachable ...

Re: velocity of aftertouch problem :(
Has this been resolved as a hardware problem? Please report back, so we can close the bug in the Bug Report Sheet.
