USB CONNECTION NOT RECOGNIZED ON MAC

Hello everybody,

I try to upgrade my nord's OS, so after downloading the dmg on clavia's website, a window opens asking to connect the nord via usb, which I do, but nothing happens. I'm on mac on the 10.8.4 OS version.
I tried a new cable but nothing changes...

Go to "About This Mac" under the top left apple.
Then Go to "More Info" -> "System Report" ->
Click USB.
Is it showing up in there?
Stage 2, Piano 2, Kronos-61, iOS apps.

Try shutting down your computer and your Nord.

Connect the USB and then power up the computer.

Switch on the Nord.

If this does not work, repeat the process using a different USB port on your MAC.

Is there an internal configuration that I could change (in the nord, not the mac) ?

I guess the obvious question is, do other things work on your USB ports on your Mac? If they do, I would remove the nord programs and reinstall. If possible (I use a Mac for my Nord but am not well versed in the specifics) can you remove the Nord drivers and reinstall those. Have you tried a different cable?

The usb ports of the mac work perfectly. I try to install the nord programs so it's not yet on the computer...I have tried different cable but nothing changed...any other idea?

If you've got your Stage 2 turned on and plugged into your Mac with a USB cable, it should show up in the 'System Information' Window as described by podmed in the 2nd post. Whether the Nord software is installed or not doesn't matter, nor do the (MIDI) settings in the Stage 2.

If you follow podmed's instruction, you should see a window like the following. Note that in my case, I have no Stage 2 connected :)

If it is really missing from this window (USB section) and you know the USB cable and port work fine, it seems to me there must be something wrong with the USB port on your Stage 2 :(

Try hooking the Stage 2 up to another computer, see if this does it....
