Hi, a great soul of this forum has sent an nmsp to us, it opened very well on my NS2ex, but i would like to edit it ( transpose parts of this multisample ) . How to send it back to the sample editor and to open it in edition mode. I see it on the nsmp manager from the sample editor, but i can't open it.

You can't edit .nsmp files, they are made for not enabling reverse-enginnering (also to protect the Nord Library original .nsmp proprietary samples).

To make any change, you need the original NordSoundEditor "project" file (which includes samples & key assignments + other settings) or at least the original .wav samples.

On the bright side, they are single-layer samples, i.e. there are no velocity-dependent sample. So if you turn the filter all the way open and attack to zero, you can use Mainstage's multisampler tool to automatically sample the instrument at fixed velocity across the keyboard and turn that into an EXS instrument.

And those samples can of course be cross-fed into any other sampler.

perhaps the "great soul" who sent you the .nsmp file will oblige by sending source .wav files or project file...
