Hi everybody,
a few weeks ago, I realized that my Nord Stage 3 sometimes has some problems with the Synth section when I was skipping through my Programms before. Is there anyone else who suffers from this?
To get more in detail let me explain this issue on the example of the follwoing situation:
I'm playing a programm which uses some piano and Organ. Because I like to play another song I change the used programm to a programm which uses the synth section. And here appears my problem: sometimes the synth sounds detuned a few halftone steps but I was not using the detune function of the synthesizer. I dont know how to get rid of this so I tried out some different things, also again a programm change (mostly it's not enough to skip one setup forward or backward - dont ask why...). after some random actions of me, the synth works properly but I dont have an idea how I fixed the problem
Thanks for your Help guys!
cheers,
keyseb

Re: Unintentional Synth detuning after Programm change
If you have a problem with your pitch stick geting "stuck" in one end, this could happen, since it is not normally enabled for piano or organ sounds. There is also a possibility that you have some detuning thought the synth enabled via the LFO or aftertouch or a pedal, which then has another setting next time you get to the program.
But my first bet would be on the pitch stick.

Sounds like the issue I had. My pitch stick started off working fine, but over the course of a couple of weeks it deteriorated to not working at all. It was a hardware issue and since my NS3 was so new, my dealer did a swap for me.

If you disable the pitch stick for the synth, does the sound revert back to normal? Also, if you turn on the pitch stick for the organ and piano, are they out of tune as well? If so, then it’s a hardware issue.
