Re: Thinking about a dedicated B3 signal chain on the NS3
Well, I think I'm all set for now. B3 is now split off, running through a Vent II. My only hesitation was that I couldn't store B3 effects settings as part of a preset, and I have a lot of different organ sounds.
I did find a half-good solution, though. When you route the B3 through, say, output 3 you lose access to reverb, drive and leslie fast/slow.
Reverb I can get from the mixer, I've got a foot pedal for leslie control, but what about "drive"? Turns out there's a separate "drive" effect in the EQ section which is stored as part of the preset. Sounds pretty good through the Vent to my ears, so I'm going to try it for a while.

I've always used output 3 from my NS2 to the Vent and found that adding some internal overdrive from the NS2 effects is helpful. Experiment with the different amp models and EQ as well. In terms of losing reverb, no big deal. I just use the delay on the NS2 and that works great for me.cphollis wrote:Well, I think I'm all set for now. B3 is now split off, running through a Vent II. Some players even state that this "Drive" section is better than the Organ dedicated one, you confirm?cphollis wrote:Well, I think I'm all set for now. B3 is now split off, running through a Vent II. It's more useful / musical to my ears. But we're talking small increments, nothing huge.
