Hi Guys!
Ok so I have created this effect by using the white noise sample and getting the LFO to sweep the filter frequency. However, the sound doesn't work the same each time you hit the key as the LFO is constantly pulsing - as you would expect. I want to get it so the sound behaves in the same way every time I hit the key - from a filter open state to a filter closed state (off). There doesn't seem to be an LFO mode to do this. Is there a different way to create this effect on the NS2 synth engine? Perhaps without using the LFO? I'm usually pretty good on my synth stuff but am having a bit of a mind blank here!!
Thanks
Nicko

Re: Synth Question - white noise resonant sweep
Hey Nicko
How about using the Mod Env for this? I guess you already have Resonance and filter type set as you like them. Remove the LFO contribution by turning Freq Mod 1 to 0.
In Mod Env, set a 0.5 ms attack, a looong decay and set the Freq Mod 2 to +10 Mod Env. Adjust your cutoff frequency until you get the desired "range" of the downramp.
Hope this helps!
