There is an other thing a want to add here.
The NS3 synth has a dedicated button for key velocity that you can enable in multiple steps. This allows for more expressive playing and is a good improvement over the NS2 synth, which has only vel on/off. Many people said that the velocity range in the NS2 synth is too limited. This is not a problem anymore with the NS3

Re: Stage 3 owners: how are you liking the new synth engine?
Agree with what has been said already.
I've been busy "copying" sounds from my NS2 to NS3 and can mostly make it sound as good in 1 panel in NS3 which were 2 panels in NS2.
I could even lose some (brass) samples because I have much more options for it now (second osc and if needed a 2nd panel).
So having owned the NS1, NS2 and now NS3 I can safely say that the synth (as a section) has improved the most.
Not to downplay the other sections but those are more "natural" progressions IMHO.

The following statement is not true. The previous statement is true.

Re: Stage 3 owners: how are you liking the new synth engine?
After 2 weeks, I found the synth part very powerfull, and you don't need a A1 with the NS3.
If you have a Nordmodular G2 too, you don't need a NL4 too. The G2 can control the morph groups (Ctrl ped or AT) with his LFOs via midi and I can also have a A1 with 1+2 LFO (or more on other cc if I need), and it results very huge sounds ! I'm using the G2 sequencer on NS3 sounds too. I'm definitly in love with the G2 !
Now, waiting for bugfix to use my NS3 in the real world.
