Unfortunately, it is totally boneheaded if you want to use a mod controller for anything beyond momentary modulation. If you wish to use it for continuous cutoff setting or morphing of parameters, you simply can't.
Your mileage obviously varies, but I find the mod wheel and especially the pitch stick to be part of the unique playing experience of these nord machines and wouldn't want to miss them for anything.

I am so old school I'm a tardigrade.
I am drafting up a mod that will mount the Nord wheel to the stick bendy plate. So that the wheel will be used normally but can also be moved side to side like the stick. Essentially becoming a joystick but with spring tension from side to side for pitch control.
Which is kind of a version of turning the Roland thingy 90 degrees and works as well.
Will be a reverseable retrofit reverting mod should any future owner want the Nord method
