Splits and layering

Post by JohnnyC »

Hi guys,

Hope all is well with you. I'm am considering purchasing the compact & 88 note EX but I have a question. I use a bass and brass split on my top keyboard (which would be the compact). I see the layering possibilities which I believe is 6... 2 piano, 2 organ & 2 synth. I however would need 4 or maybe 6 synth layers. 2-4 on the top for the brass and a maximum of 2 for the bass. Is this possible or can it only be 1 bass and 1 brass?

Also, are the EQ's easily workable on the synth section. I would need to EQ both brass & bass samples.

Look forward to hearing from you.

you are correct in your understanding that a single program can utilize a maximum of two synths, one each on Slots A&B. Those slots also each have independent EQ (and all other f/x except reverb), so each of two synths can have their own EQ.

you also have 2 external sections which can be used to layer in two (or more with creative midi things happening) additional synth voices from any external device, hardware or software.

bless, pablo
