The Triple Pedal accesses sostenuto, but it seems to be back ordered in the U. S., with expected delivery in June (now THAT'S a back order). So I'm trying to get creative and find a way to access the sostenuto feature in another way.
The Nord site says that it cannot be done without the Nord Triple Pedal, but the MIDI Controller list shows that controller 66 is sostenuto. If that is the case, then all I need to do is to find a way to transmit controller 66, right? Unfortunately Nord does not have the programming options that the Kurzweil K2600 does. Any ideas on how to transmit controller 66 using the Nord Stage 2 itself? Can I reprogram any of the pedals to do that? Perhaps a button on the keyboard? Or am I just dreaming that it is possible?

Re: Programming Sostenuto
I'd still love to see if there is a creative way to send controller 66, but I actually found another way around the problem that I think will work for my current need. What I did was to split the keyboard and put a piano in both Slot A and Slot B. I set Slot A to respond to the Sustain pedal, but slot B to not respond. By getting the ranges where I want them, I am able to create the effect of sostenuto without sending controller 66. I play a chord on the lower potion of the split (Slot A), press the Sustain pedal to sustain it, and then play unsustained notes on the upper portion of the split (Slot B). Odd way to get there, but it seems to work. The audience won't know the difference.

Re: Programming Sostenuto
You can create control change messages (including controller 66) by tools like this:
http://www.midisolutions.com/prodfsw.htm
In the Triple Pedal the middle pedal is the Sostenuto. It is wired to the ring connector of the TRS jack by a 10 kΩ-resistor.
(See my thread nord-stage-forum-f3/inside-triple-pedal-modification-t1883.html)
So If you really need this functionality you can modify an ordinary pedal in order to use it as a Sostenuto pedal.
Instructions are found here: nord-stage-forum-f3/get-a-triple-pedal-from-3-ordinary-pedals-t1926.html

Re: Programming Sostenuto
You can use an ordinary pedal for the sostenuto function. Connect the pedal to the rotor speed input, and in the system menu set the rotor/latch function to latch.

Hi Nordstrom2 (great name btw),
