Cool, So he could start on the piano program and copy the synth program straight into it.
That would be much quicker and precise. Thanks

True, but that would set only the Synth section, losing any Effects/AmpEQ settings of the original Slot (Program)

Thank you very much for the help. I also got a reply from the support email, which is this:

The split feature is created and saved within a single Program, rather than globally. If you modify a Program (your Jazz Bass program) and then exit it to find a new program (Prog A:1:1) then you will lose any changes you made in the original Jazz Bass Program.

Therefore, if you like the piano sound in Prog A:1:1 and want to combine it with the Jazz Bass Program then you have two choices:

1 Select Prog A:1:1, split the keyboard and assign the piano section to the upper zone. Then turn on the Synth section of Prog A:1:1, select the Jazz Bass sound from within the synth section and assign that to the lower zone. Name and save your modified program to a location of your choice so it is always there to use.

2 Select the Jazz Bass program, split the keyboard and assign the synth section to the lower zone. Then turn on the Piano section of that Program, select the Piano sample within the Piano section and assign that to the upper zone. Name and save your modified program to a location of your choice so it is always there to use.

Either option would work. You just need to look at the the Prog you are not going to modify first of all to see what sample/synth sound it is using. Then you will know which one to select in the Program you intend to modify.

I'll try all these suggestions. Thanks once again.
