Hi.
Thanks for the info,
They offered a reduction in price of £30 which I didn't want to do.
I would prefer to have a brand new unit rather than a ex demo or refurb.

If the store advertised a sale of brand new unit, you should ask for a new one for sure

The Nord arrived today but it was a used unit and scratched on the display so I telephoned Gear4Music and emailed them pics they apologised and are arranging a collection and after checking it they will send me a brand new sealed unit out.

That would be annoying. I hope the new Nord they send you is actually New.

Watch on youtube.com
Yeah.
They asked me to switch it on and check it.
It's been a year since I sold my NS2 76. Missed it every day so hearing the organs again was just awesome.
Hated turning it off and packing it back up.
It got picked up today.

I'm a huge rock lover.
That's a link to me playing the intro to Bon Jovis Slippery When Wet albums Let it Rock On my original Nord Stage.
They sound just like the record. Love it to bits.

HI

I bought a Nord Stage 2 EX at the reduced price from Gear 4 Music. They were very helpful. I have used them before. It arrived on Monday and that's why I'm now on this forum trying to find out more about splits!

Welcome to the forum Nshires.
My replacement arrived on Wednesday but I've been so busy I've only just unpacked it this evening.
Hope you get all the answers you need. It's quite straight forward pressing the buttons and viewing the lights.

Hi Rusty, thank you for the welcome. My question on the other thread was this: "I'm a newbie to the Stage 2 EX. I can split the keyboard into two zones having chosen, for example by choosing program Jazz Bass, then splitting into 2 zones, then setting the synth (Jazz Bass) to the lower zone, but then if I want the classical piano program A:1:1 on the upper zone, how do I do this? I can get the piano on the upper zone, but how do I get that particular piano program on the upper zone? Thank you for any help".

Hi. I've only just unpacked my new Nord from a year away from it so I'm unsure. Plus it's at work not home so I can't check for sure but,
I don't think you can bring a 2nd program into the first.
So you will have to recreate all the settings for the classical piano into the spare slot in the Jazz Bass section.

Correct, as explained in threads like this one nord-stage-forum-f3/question-about-including-a-program-sound-into-another-t13279.html (and more than you can find by searching the forum for "nord stage copy program slots")

It is possible, though, to copy synth tones across programs. Just not piano and organ tones.
