IIRC, Chris Wood played the organ on Empty Spaces, Steve Winwood played the RMI Piano - they certainly had this set-up when playing live.

If you feel slightly more adventurous, check out some of the mid seventies recordings from Van Der Graaf Generator - featuring a huge variety of Hammond (including bass pedals) sounds on almost every track. (The organist, Hugh Banton, was a former church organist and BBC engineer who customised his own gear, including modifying a Hammond E100 to have separate audio outs for upper and lower manual, and routing each one through different effects boards).

You're right, I had forgotten about Wood on that song. Turns out they're both credited for organ on that one, so who knows what happened on the recording itself. Either way, the example stands regardless of the actual performer. :)

I use an FC-7 and it has developed a very irritating squeak. If I am clavving it up with headphones, the other half goes utterly mad. It's like grandad on his rocking chair.
