Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
That would point to a MIDI routing issue in the setup as opposed to a problem with the keyboard.

Definitely. I just don’t know what the OP’s setup is and the description leapt out at me as very similar.

I know there’s been a lot of discussion since this post but I’m just going through the thread now and I wanted to say that this description strikes me as being exactly how I would describe the sound of a double triggered note.
Thank you, I know at some point everyone will understand that. I have to be patience, but, even for those who are in love with the board now, it's just a matter of time buddy, just a matter of time, unfortunately.

I guess he didn't trigger any MIDI through it... I think he's talking about the keyboard it self don't him?

Note that @stringtapper plays the compact model with SW keys, not the 88HA version [Edit: and says he likes his instrument, just finds it hard to control pianos from the SW keys].
I am quite certain that @stringtapper didn't accidentally cause double-strikes that results in phasing issues. But I read his post also as a gentle reminder to those that do have problems that it's a good idea to check whether your MIDI setup could be playing you a trick...

Please note that in this context "he" is actually yourself

The "OP" (Original Poster) is yourself, as you started the thread...

Oh I see.
It's ok, In that situation of course is a MIDI double that cause a "phase" effect.

Heh. Somebody drug up a thread from the early days of the Stage 2, making it clear that velocity on that machine was almost uncontrollably sensitive.

Happy to say that they’ve finally fixed it in the Stage 3.
