NS3 - Dual kB function
Hello all,
Before unnecessary commnets i would like to say that i used a Nord Electro before and this is my first Stage. I alredy try to search this on the MIDI manual of STAGE 2, here on this forum, but i can't get this to work on my Stage 3.
What do i need?
I do need to set my NS on top of a Stage Piano, i want to play a piano on the stage, (By midi, use piano from the Nord), then i want to play other sound with the Nord Keys.
Can someone help me with this?

Re: NS3 - Dual kB function
[The Nord Stage 3 has lost this possibility.
As you can see in the pages of the Manual the only method to do what you want is:
1) assign the piano to one Panel;
2) assign a midi channel to this panel.
You can' t assign a midi channel to piano, another to synth or another to organ like in the NS2.

Re: NS3 - Dual kB function
Actually, in 1.12, this changed a bit:
It now says that Dual KB mode now has options for addressing either all of Panel B, or only one of its sections. This is done by keeping Dual KB pressed down and selecting the appropriate setting (Panel, Organ, Piano or Synth) using the dial.
So you can let the external (dual kb) control only the piano and let the internal keyboard control the rest, using the dual kb option. It was also discussed here.

No.
The Nord giveth; the Nord taketh away…

Re: NS3 - Dual kB function
That you can do. Assign the dual kb destination to the piano. The rest can be played as normally from the internal keys.Jo Osantos1 wrote:I thought this was chances on 1.36

What's the different between this function on NS3 vs NS2/NS2EX?

Re: NS3 - Dual kB function
I've already mentioned it also ... "The Nord Stage 3 pitch stick, pedals and morph controls does not have any impact on the sound engine that is in Dual KB mode (Manual page 29). so ... for what is DUAL KB without control over volume e.c.t....?
