Nord, please have the balls to consider/implement a change in what a 73 note board SHOULD be.

I totally agree that C-C would be great, but Fatar makes the keybeds for Clavia, and they're the ones sticking with the E-E range.

Not sure this is true, first of all because Fatar can customize their keybeds for OEM depending on manufacturer's demand and the HP (TP100, used in the 76 weighted models) exists also as an 88 key version, while officially according to Fatar web site the TP8O (SW) should exist only in 61 and 73 keys version, but Clavia has a SW76, so...

In any case, the Fender Rhodes had 73 keys and starting from... E! (Probably also Mr. Rhodes was a "guitar idiot"? )

Hey Max,

I'm familiar with the TP80 going C-C in Studiologic's own organs, but the low octave is reversed black/white keys. I thought that's all they did, and only on their own instruments. I had the Arturia Keylab 88 with it's 88 note HP action for a while, but I wasn't aware folks could order 73 note C-C, so I stand corrected.

That is curious though why Harold Rhodes went for the E low note instead of C on the 73 note models. Must be a reason.

Hi Michael! All is possible, just a matter of money so if Clavia or any othermanufacturer would request a C-C 73 in large enough quanitites Fatar would make it for them ;-)

On Harold Rhodes and his piano, I guess that has to do with the idea to stay "in the middle" of the full range (not having the possibility to Transpose) so taking away 8 keys from top octave and 7 from the bottom of an 88 key one (?)

Btw if you take 8 from bottom and 7 from top you get the F-F type instead. ;)

Hi,
creating some programs for 1/4 tone music on the NS2 I ran across something what I would call an issue if not a bug:
1. I created two zones, each separately addressed to Organ slot A and Organ slot B
2. In slot A I activated PSTICK to detune this slot by a small rubber wedge stuck beside the Pitchstick. (This works well in the piano section)
3. Now happens that in slot B the PSTICK is activated to. And as soon I deactivated it there it was also deactivated in slot A
My conclusion is, that it is not possible to activate and deactivate PSTICK in slot A and B at the same time.
Is my observation correct? Why is this so? Can this be changed, maybe even quickly?
With cheers from Berlin,
Ernst

The Organ sction is a bit "special" in a sense, it is actually 1 engine where Slot A/B just represent the Lower and Upper manual but some settings are common across the 2 slots, for example the Organ Type and as you have seen also the PitchBend enable.

If you try to do the same on Piano or Synth it should work instead.

Thanks for the opportunity, here are a couple of things. If I were to get one, the first would be my choice......

#1: When Panic is hit and external midi is active, send a standard ANOff out to the external port.

#2: Permit a wider range of control change messages to be passed from midi in to the external midi out. In particular, volume messages, master and part.
