+2. I have asked Nord for it... they seem reluctant for some reason, and I won't be getting a Stage 2 until this feature is included. I don't consider it a bonus, but a necessity.

Hello. The only reason I do not buy ns2 now is that you can not transfer programs between NS and ns2. I understand that you can not transfer all the programs because ns2 has many new features, but you should be able to transfer in the same way as when they had different Os versions installed. Here you get a message on the specific programs that are not compatible. This is a big problem for us who travel, since many backline firms here in Norway just have NS and not ns2. So I'm going to wait buying ns2 untill it has become a backline standard. There's no point to work with programming sounds when you constantly end up with a hired keyboard with factory settings

Or, Nord should at least allow me to designate the una corda or sostenuto pedal to control Rotary switch.

Will the half pedaling feature work with other pedal brands? Then I may consider giving up pedal noises. If so, which brand & type?

I heard from a fellow member that Nord might release a Rev B Nord Stage 2 which features using the Nord Triple Pedal for other purposes.

This message was sent from a local Nord dealer:

"The Nord Stage 2 was introduced at this year’s NAMM show in January and is
already a great success, awarded the MIPA Award 2011 for ‘Best Stage Piano’
at the MusikMesse Frankfurt last week.
After the production start we have added some useful features for Nord
Stage 2 used together with the Nord Triple Pedal. The new features enable
the player to use the middle pedal of the Nord Triple Pedal for advanced
latch and sustain techniques when using multiple layers of sound. The added
functionality is located in the Organ, Piano and Synth sections, under the
‘Octave Shift’ buttons. Also, the Arpeggiator has an added ‘Hold’ button.
We have decided to implement these new features as soon as possible and
they will be available in the Nord Stage 2 ‘Revision B’.
These new features are not found on the Nord Stage 2 Rev A currently
shipping and can not be implemented with a software update as the
circuitboard design and the physical panel of the keyboard has been changed
to accomodate these new features."

Sounds very useful IMO!

These features could actually be seen on pictures of the NS2 in the Nord Spring Catalog on Clavia's website. They have since removed the Catalog. There was also added an init button to the synth section.

EDIT: You can see these new features in this video from Musikmesse 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbEd-8nK ... re=related
Look for the extra LED's under the octave shift buttons and a new buttons in the synthsection to the left of the arpegiator.

Now I'm getting afraid. I would really like to know when Rev.B will arrive. I have already ordered a NS2 SW73 (compact) a couple of months ago. Last I heard was that I would receive it around 10th of May. The question is if I will receive a Rev.A or B. :-/

This is vary disappointing to hear. I would expect from Clavia to do their job proper at the first time and not releasing new rev. B keyboard just months after official announcement of Stage 2. There are still lots of bugs, really lots in rev.A and it would be nice to fix those at first.

I have to agree - i was looking forward to buy me a stage 2 this week - but my dealer is still waiting for the shipment. And now i don´t want to buy an "old" model... But when is "soon as possible"... Hopefully the MM Frankfurt-Models aren´t prototypes... and they produce the new revision already. But Clavia f%cked up the early buyers - not very kind of them... :-(

Let's see how it finally turns out. I have not yet seen a confirmation of the two different revisions. But indeed it would be a very early hardware update even though I think the issues are only minor. Still I agree that first buyers might be a bit concerned, but lets see how it finally runs out.
Regarding software updates, thats a different story cause here you just have to wait for the updates to come out. Clavia has been quite good at doing what is possible with the OS in earlier keyboards. Also, comparing it e.g. to the KRONOS it is not unusual to see delays until the actual shipping and final release of an instrument.

It really doesn't matter small or big hardware update... it would be vary nice if they completed instrument and then start selling it. I have Stage 2 and I'm disappointed of all the bugs it has (its not new instrument JUST an upgrade) and now even this.. I feel betrayed.
I think that this isn't the way to treat loyal customers, witch we are, EVERYBODY who pre order Stage 2, many of us not even heard it live.

This is something that concerns me a little bit. As I mentioned on another thread, I was hoping to pick up a Stage 2 Compact in the fairly short term, ideally by the start of June to do an overseas tour with it. I went round a couple of dealers who've stocked Nord gear in the past, and the best response I got was from Rose Morris in London who said they'd probably have one in for demo-ing by the end of this month. I'm going to hopefully go back this weekend and try and get a definite date for when I'll need to get my order in to ensure it turns up in time for the tour.

To be honest, if I hadn't wandered into a dealer shop ten years ago and discovered an Electro set up for demo, I don't know if I'd ever have had the idea to go for Nord gear in the first place. Mind you, this was of course before the Stage, C2 and Wave existed.

And as others have alluded to, although the triple pedal functionality doesn't really affect my set-up, I'll be somewhat hacked off if I get hold of a Stage 2 only to find a new version with breaking hardware changes comes out a week later.
