Hi,
first off all I'm verrry happy with my NS2EX
But - after using it live a lot - a small wishlist evolved:
1. Synth Samples: Ability to use different samples for different velocity levels (at least 3 levels would be good)
2. Dual KB mode: Ability that the connected control pedal for morphing still morphes Section B although Dual KB mode is activated.
3. Having the 'Like' button like the Electro
4. Output routing: Ability to route Ch3/4 also to the headphones
5. Ability to assign the latch feature to the left or middle pedal of the triple pedal
6. Ability to merge e.g. the organ or the synth or the piano (only!!!) of a program with another program
7. I understand the political intention that it is inhibited to extract a *.wav file out of a nsmp-file. But it would be good if one could reopen a nsmp file in the sample editor to rearrange the key assignment (for example)
That's it for the moment

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
With NAMM coming up, here is my wish list for the Nord Stage 3 that may or may not be released:
Let's see what happens!
- More memory (would be nice if we could just get something sensible like 16GB or 32 GB)
- The ability to program the pitch bend range of the pitch stick instead of it being stuck at +/- 2 semitones
- The updated OLED screen like on the Electro 5
- The ability to keep a current sound playing while changing patches instead of having it abruptly end
Let's see what happens!

They have just issued the NS2 EX, I wouldn't bet a penny on any NS3 at Namm...

Probably lots of people said this, I will say it too...
Reverb that can be not global, but for a specific section, or slot. I create a verbish delay when I need one sound to be verby and another one not in the same Program...

Organ section:
Menu utilities to change, savable for each program:
1. Amount or percent of chorus/vibrato effect.
2. Disconnect virtual bass rotor (like unplugging the bottom Leslie motor.)
3. Eliminate low foldback and bring in 16' pedal sound down to the A0 key (like a modified Hammond.) See:
https://youtu.be/5CG81_Y8SvY (Tony Monaco tutorial on B3 settings.)
starting at 11:30
4. 'Percussion on' mutes the top (8th) drawbar (a 'feature' in the Hammond.)
'Percussion off' allows the top drawbar to sound as set.
Same link as above, starting at 20:48, demonstrated at 21:47.
Fabulous instrument, It's really inspiring me to try and learn more things.

Master Clock out. Please. This has a section on the instrument to be a master keyboard, but no clock send?!

- Drawbars instead of led ladders.
- Persistant state on "LOCAL-OFF"
- ADSR/AD1D2SR in synth section
- Effects on aux outs (3-4)
- Continuous values for key click, Leslie speed and accel/decel

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
I would like to see an option added for high trigger point for Midi Out in addition to the already implemented High trigger for internal organ sounds. As much as I love the Nord organ sounds, I also often use my Stage 2 as a controller for other organ and synth libraries.

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
I generally don't get the global options. On my Lead A1 the vibrato is also global for all my patches. So stupid and miles away from any musical sense.
Pitch Bend is limited to 2STs?! WTF?!

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
It would be a huge advantage if the sustain pedal would be assignable for all sounds especially organs. When using a multi keyboard set-up it's important for continuity to be able to move one's hands to another keyboard without a break in sound. It seems stupid not to be able to do this on a modern keyboard regardless of whether this was possible or not on a B3 for instance.
Also split points should be available anywhere on the keyboard... I know there are LEDs to indicate the split points, but sometimes one simply wants to assign a sample to one note rather than restricting a range of notes to the same one sample.
My third request is for a proper pitch bend wheel with (as suggested elsewhere in this forum) programmable pitch bend range.
Forth request is for an assignable knob for oscillator detune in the synth section.
Implement these suggestions and perhaps I'll consider selling my Kurzweil.
Other than that I love my Stage2 Compact 73.
Thanks
