Really it would be cheap to make and the LEDs could possibly even be under the ribbons.
The controllers on the Akai Max49 seem particularly well-suited for drawbar use:
Alternatively, I saw someone suggest a rocker would be better than a pair of buttons, and I agree.

Hey,
just two things for me (and maybe others, too!):
1. Pitchbend regard should be assignable differently to Slot A and B. For example, when I change PB status in Organ A the status for B is changed automatically to the same. That should not be. The same applies to PB messages sent from outward to the NS2: they are not treated separately channelwise but always for all channels.
2. Half-pedalling for CP-80 would really be great and show respect to this fascinating instrument.
Thanks for the great NS2.

How about the Stage engine (the "guts") and control panel built into the C2 chassis with the split point being between the manuals? That way I'd always have a dual keyboard rig at the gig without bringing extra stands and stuff.
Oh, and more memory for the sample library .

Hi all, after a while of getting used to the Nord's architecture there are few things that I would love to see happening, although much of it has to do with the "software side" rather than the "hardware".
- The 'triple' pedal, if the 'middle', or any other, can function as something else like rotor or to control effects, users assigned, rather than strictly sostenuto.
- split points, no longer fixed but assignable
- more memory for sounds, both piano and synth sections. Or the option of connecting external memory devices
- ipad app? To view and edit parameters. Organising patches, setlist, and quick 'jump' access to programs
- samples converter software
Many thanks!

Ability to send input sounds thru Out 1&2 or 3&4 (actualy it only works with phone out).
Actual synth: Nord Modular G2 - Nord Stage 3 73 - Virus Ti2 - Peak - Prophet 6
Before: Nord Lead 3 & 4, Stage 1&2, Wave, Virus C, DSI Tetra, P12, and few others...

+1
Yes ! Definetely !
And not just for the synth part... Why can't I morph the EQ's distortion, for example ? -- this one example just because I would have needed that last night at the gig - and missed it.
I would welcome an option (possibly accessed from the System menu) to add a fixed (user selected) amount of pedal noise to the piano samples that support it for those of us without a triple pedal.
I have a Stage original. The #1 thing stopping me from spending $3000 on upgrading to a NS2 is the small memory. It seems impossible to sit at home guessing which of the great sample libraries I might want to use when I'm out there on an unpredictable gig or rehearsal. So:
Much more memory and/or an efficient way to address external storage.
The second most important thing stopping me from upgrading to NS2 is the puny display. I know: one of the best things with the Clavia keybords is the knobby interface. But there are some things that simply are better done with a bigger display: browsing patches, viewing what sample is used for what patch, viewing values for the knobs without LED rings around them. A bigger display would also make it more reasonable for the software guys to make more parameters available for lesser-used functions.
But wait: there is a way to do both! Make it possible for the USB port to connect a smartphone/tablet. And build an app. You get the two most important things - more storage and a nice display - for the price of less then one. Surely, this must be the single most efficient addition that Clavia could possibly build.
