NS2 Organ leslie sim.

Postby Tschanze » 16 Jun 2012, 15:45

I have been using the leslie simulator on the stage and feel the dynamics just don't cut it for me. In a studio environment (DI ) it is good but for the live setup I pulled out the old Motion Sound Pro-3T (12ax7) selected channel 4 global for A & B deactivarted the sim. That small tube pre realy sets the growl on the Hammond sounds and I feel are Indistinguishable from the XK-3 if not better. It is unfortunate that Motion Sound is no longer on the internet. Product inventory is still in the brick and mortor but the site is down. I was lucky to find the Older Pro-3T in stock in 07 rather than the newer unit, love the tube sound. Every day this NS2 is becoming more a part of me, an extention if you will.

Some people like it, some don't. I had an xk3c, ventilator and the NS2. I never felt the need to use my Vent with my NS2. But with my xk3c, I had to use it cause I did not like the internal leslie sim and overdrive. I sold my xk3c and vent a week ago in order to buy myself a C2 in case it become discontinue.

The guy I sold my xk3c said to me that he loved the internal leslie/drive but after two days, he said that the vent was far better and there was no comparaison... ;-)

What's important, it's that you liked your sound...;-) because the crowd will probably, for the most part, not see the difference.
