You have a "pedalboard" under your Korg, what is it for? Changing patch? But you don't do it with your computer?
That's my PedealTrain Novo 32 with the Roland FC-300 MIDI controller, Korg XVP-20 volume pedal for the SV-1, and sustain pedal mounted.
And yes, I use the FC-300 to change patches within MainStage as well as adjust volume of different sources via the expression pedals. I also use the pedal for other things like turning effects on and off and even as a pad latch.
MainStage and the FC-300 are sort of the brain for the whole setup. When I change patches in MainStage via a pedal on the FC-300 I can have it set to not only change the channel strips in MainStage but also change patches on the Nord and Korg as well. It's a very powerful and flexible setup.
Even if I could replace all of my Omnisphere and Kontakt sounds with internal sounds from the Nord/Korg I would probably still use the MainStage/FC-300 combo because of how easy it is to manage patch changes and route/convert MIDI messages.
There's probably a way to set up a combo with just the Nord, Korg, and FC-300. I should look into that to use as a pared down version of the rig.
