You have a "pedalboard" under your Korg, what is it for? Changing patch? But you don't do it with your computer?

That's my PedealTrain Novo 32 with the Roland FC-300 MIDI controller, Korg XVP-20 volume pedal for the SV-1, and sustain pedal mounted.

And yes, I use the FC-300 to change patches within MainStage as well as adjust volume of different sources via the expression pedals. I also use the pedal for other things like turning effects on and off and even as a pad latch.

MainStage and the FC-300 are sort of the brain for the whole setup. When I change patches in MainStage via a pedal on the FC-300 I can have it set to not only change the channel strips in MainStage but also change patches on the Nord and Korg as well. It's a very powerful and flexible setup.

Even if I could replace all of my Omnisphere and Kontakt sounds with internal sounds from the Nord/Korg I would probably still use the MainStage/FC-300 combo because of how easy it is to manage patch changes and route/convert MIDI messages.

There's probably a way to set up a combo with just the Nord, Korg, and FC-300. I should look into that to use as a pared down version of the rig.

Hi Berry,

in any topical forum - Nord Stage, Nord Electro, etc. - you will find the "New Topic" button at the top left-hand corner of the overview. You've already figured out how to reply to existing topics, it would seem. ;)

Finally received my NS3C today. Of course, the MOD wheel did not work. What is strange is, the connector was connected but only two of the left edge connectors. The entire connector was OFFSET by one. I felt really uncomfortable opening up a brand new keyboard and checking the connection. But it's all working now.

I have to wonder if I'm in the minority that the modwheel on my NS3C seems to work fine

Very strange considering how big Nord are on promoting their quality control.

Can also confirm a disconnected mod wheel on my new NS3 compact ver1.00.

Upgraded from a ns compact ex, I am SOOO thrilled with the NS3 this thing is POWERFUL. It just sounds so ballsy. Getting used to the organizing of patches. I used the "organize" function and it seems to have thrown off my categories...

That is exactly what I'm struggling with. I'm so spoiled by the Kronos Setlist and program direct access functions!

Anyone have any tips other than LIVE mode?

I've got an iPad mini running TouchOSC on it that I currently use for direct program access on my NE5. I planned on reprogramming for the Stage 3 compact I have on order.

If you need something that actually deals in set lists, I've been using OnSong. It is a very robust song book and has a decent MIDI add-on.

Actually I've been wanting to use OnSong for the program changes as well, but at the moment there isn't a good way to easily separate the song change from the MIDI program changes, and its normal behavior would be to change patches on song change (although you can set a delay parameter so it doesn't change immediately).

I've sent in some suggestions for updated functionality and they are open to suggestions. They did respond with some options that would get me close to what I'd like it to do, but I haven't tried those out just yet.

You’re definitely in the minority among those who go online to complain about the problem.

Golden rule of Internet forums: people who are happy and free of problems with a product don’t bother with forums. So any forum automatically skews towards people having issues.
