On the comments of the recent facebook post of nord i found this. maybe someone find this interessting:

I would really like a detailed comparison between the Stage 3 synth section and the actual Lead A1.
The most obvious differences is:

A1 gives you 4 parts. Stage 3 gives you 2 part.

The A1 has an ensemble effect which is essential for creating those 1970's stingemachines. Stage 3 doesn't have that effect.

The A1 features a TB-303 filter. The Stage 3 doesn't come with that filter.

The Stage 3 has sampleplayback features like the Nord Wave.

The A1 has a very powerfull unison mode, which I use a lot for creating that thick MiniMoog like leadsounds.
The Stage 3 doesn't have this feature?

(from another thread) Image section added to NS3 page http://www.nordkeyboards.com/products/n ... e-3-images some of which reveal new interesting details ("Panel" instead of "Slot" in the command section, a "v2.00" visible on the revision info, on the right side of Effects Section, Keyb Sync for the arpeggiator, the leds on the lower/left corner of morphable pots, the Latch/KeybGate options apparently disappeared, ... )

Oh bummer! I use the latch and kb gate controls often. I'm sure its moved to a menu now but that's kind of a bummer.

What does Keyboard Gate do?

What does Keyboard Gate do?

The KBGATE feature allows you to disable an instrument from being triggered by the keyboard, for as long as the latch pedal is operated ; can be used alone or in conjunction with the Latch function (more details -> NS2/EX manual...)
