I will bring this subject up again, because i pre-order my Compact on 28th of April and still didn't get my unit! This is crazie... My Nord official distributor, has already changed the ETA twice... Does anyone got theis NORD Compact either in portugal or Spain?

I have ordered my NS3 compact on April as well, here in Italy, apart of very few models sent for demo to the principal shops, (immediately sold without be used for demonstration) according to my supplier the local distributor is forecasting the arrival of the first lot from the end of september to the end of october :welcome: in the waiting room

Hoping the same date for Italy, hoping also my reseller is at the top of the national distributor delivery list. :|

I was kidding of course. No-one in the USA is going to get one before late October, regardless who they order it from.

I guess not completely independent of where you order from :-)

Have a look here for Jonnie's: nord-stage-forum-f3/stage-3-try-ordering-from-overseas-voltage-switch-t13850.html (photos and all). Looks like he got it as advertised a few days ago... I guess you missed seeing this post?

Best regards from Europe (where the NS3 isn't exactly available in bundles either)!

You're right - he got one now. Of course, he had to crack the case to replace a fuse, probably voiding his warranty. And even if he didn't void it, if he ever needs warranty service he has to ship it back to Germany. I took a look, it costs hundreds at best for a private person to ship something that big overseas. The vendor explicitly stated that all overseas return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility.

Bottom line - it was a gutsy move to get the board early, hope it doesn't break on him or act bizarre because it's wired for Europe.

We're not that bizarre here :-) And I'm quite convinced that there is no other difference than the switch position and the fuse.

Of course there may be a higher cost to get it fixed if you have to ship it back (partly offset by the initial savings), but IF the sale is following European customer protection laws, then there would be a 2 year warranty and claims period on the product, so maybe you also get something in return -- but I don't know the details of that, obviously.

On the other hand, the proud new owner can now play his instrument and enjoy it as well -- so in the end it looks like it was a good move for him :-)
