I have an NS2 SW73 running OS2.24 and I'm running Nord Sound Manager 6.86 on a MacBook Pro with Sierra. My patch change knob was worn out, While I was waiting for a replacement part I would keep the Nord hooked up to the Macbook and used Sound Manager to change my patches. I found that every now and then, the display on the Nord would flicker and it would behave like I hit the panic button. Any sustained notes would immediately stop. It doesn't happen often and I don't know how to reproduce it, but it does happen often enough that I cannot use the Nord in this configuration while playing a gig. Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you have a new midi gear in your set ? Do you use longer midi cables as usual ? Do you have any midi loop in one of your program ? Is it always with the same program ?

This happens always when I save a patch.

I believe this is normal behavior. I have a Stage 2 and when connected to NSM, there is a one-second delayed time when a patch is saved. It does not do it if NSM is not connected to the unit.

Yes. Nord Soundmanager has to retrieve the actual state of every program/sample/etc. It's doing a re-sync.

No midi cables at all. No other gear. Just NS2 hooked up to MacBook NSM with a USB cable

No, that's not my problem. I'm not saving any patches. I simply have NSM hooked up to the NS2 with USB from MacBook. I am just playing the NS2 sustaining a note. And it glitches. I didn't touch any controls. Only keys.

Test with another usb cable

and another usb port on your mac

Yep noticed yesterday that mine does the same. It doesn't do it when it's not connected to the sound manager. Only when connected to my Mac. All sound stops whilst playing and all lights go out for a split second.
