I've just purchased a EX from 2008. The Os version is 2.26, and I've been trying to update the OS. But, when I try to update, it cant find the Stage, although its connected, turnes on etc. (Se the picture) The same is happening in the newest sound manager.
On the cd that followed with the Nord there is a old update version and a sound manager, and both have no trouble finding the Stage through USB.
I've tried powering up by holding down the Shift + both Store buttons, but the stage dosn't react to that.
Any help?

I wouldn't be surprised if you first need to upgrade to some intermediate version before you can upgrade to to 6.04 because version 2.26 that's on there is pretty ancient.

I suggest you contact Clavia directly via the contact form on their website. If you do indeed first need to upgrade to some intermediate version, Clavia will likely need to provide your with the firmware (and the update tool) because as far as I was able to tell, they're not directly available anymore on their website.

the pic looks like Mac OS. what kind of OS you use? is it maybe Mountain-Lion? i´m not really sure, but maybe this is the problem. so only Clavia can help you.

This was a case of mistaken identity. The clue is in the second sentence, there have never been a 2.26 version of the EX OS. The unit was a Classic Stage which was delivered with a EX manual, and the user tried the EX update utility.
