Hi,
I have a Nord Stage 2, Revision A. I don't know why, but although I had some gigs with other Rev B Nord Stage 2 I never discovered its synth section has a real hold mode until now. I thought it's the same function that Rev A users got via firmware update and which gets enabled by pressing Arp On twice. But this function has never been helpful for me because I never use the arpeggiator and just want to sustain a pad or bass sound with a single chord.
Now that I know Nord Stage 2 Rev B has this feature (and I really would have needed this thing quite often) I'm quite astonished that it's missing in Rev A.
Am I wrong? (I hope so!) Is there a hidden way to activate hold for the synth section (without using the arp!)?
Thanks a lot!

No hold function in Nord Stage 2 Rev A? Really?

Unfortunately not, as discussed in this thread here (last 5 messages of that page)

Hmm, isn't that exactly what I described?

When I double tap the arp on/off button, the arpeggio is played and hold. I want it to be hold without arpeggiator... like I told.

Sorry, I was meantime editing and correcting my previous message as I recalled a similar question, unfortunately the answer is negative, see my updated post above...

I see.
Okay... very bad. I don't think there's much hope they change the functionality for the NS 2 OS ... they'll be busy enough with their new one.
So I've to go on using my iPad app I wrote exclusively for holding chords at the NS 2.

Re: No hold function in Nord Stage 2 Rev A? Really?
What about using a on/off footswitch connected as Latch pedal (Rotor speed input, configured as Latch in System menu), with Latch enabled only on Synth section?

This doesn't hold until I press the next chord and then holds the next chord. Useless for me if you need to trigger the pedal again with each chord...

True, just a workaround if you absolutely need to let your hand free, on the other hand of course if you already have an alternative (your iPad app) that works better... that of the NS2 Rev A is a "short sad story "
