But when some folks start talking about Clavia's betrayal if they don't release it...I admit it raise my temperature. Because in our days isn't lot of companies like Clavia. It all became one big game after the Money and I don't like it. Music should come from the heart not the wallet.
And I know it would be awesome to have a keyboard with 2+GB memory...oh no, I do have (Motif XF), but let me tell you it doesn't feel like tenth of Stage.
And I do regret that can not load all the piano sounds in my Stage, but let me tell you...I load only one and it beat ALL the Motifs.
But I would really like to see more Sample memory in my Electro and Wave...Because like I already said FOR ME the Clavias samples are their flagship. And its very likely that I didn't use the word flagship correctly, but FOR ME the most precious Clavias product are their SAMPLES.

Nord Stage 2
with 512mb flash, string resonance, new B3 modeling, sample support and Lead 3 synth section... for real IT WOULD BE OUTSTANDING and I would buy one in a second.

But for real...there will be no space for other product in their line.

We can dream...but i prefer the reality. And I do LOVE Clavia for making such wonderful instruments and really breaks my heart when some people spit over company who retrieving soul back into keys...

Okay I'm sorry that I might have misunderstood you. I sometimes take stuff too personal.

I definitly agree that bashing Clavia for not making certain stuff, and calling it betrayal is angering. Clavia really does a good job and they make keyboards, that I regard higher than any other. So I can understand why that could raise your temperature :) But that was certainly not my intention.

I still really wish for a Stage 2 with all the best from Clavia. You may think it's unrealistic,(and it might be idk) but thats what I'm hoping for.

When the Stage was first made, it was kind of the same thing then, that a Stage 2 would be now. The Stage classic beat the Electro 2 in every sense and it also contained a Nord Lead-like small synth. So the Stage 2 would again beat the current Electro 3 in every sence and still get some stuff from the wave(not it all). It would be the same again. What do you think about this?

Sorry again. And have fun. :)

Hi,
If a new Nord Stage happens, I hope it keep the same weight, color and easy of use buttons and knobs.
If they just put a Electro 3 and the Lead 2X together, it would be a very nice new Stage, with the E3 b3 engine, sample feature, L2X synth and sequencer.
I wish just more buttons for programs, instead of 6, maybe 12... and more memory, 512mb at least.
We just have to wait....

Why talking about "How much Memory IN the Stage" ?
It would be much better if they would support USB-Stick/SD-Card support so you can have your files on a stick or card and not in the stage ...

Because in case of USB-Stick/SD-Card support we would be claiming about loading times. To me instant access to the sounds is essential.

Exactly!
It's about speed.
The memory that Clavia uses for the keyboards must be a high quality one.
I remember that the Motif ES7 that I had, took like 50 seconds to load a 40mb piano.
So, I prefer having 512mb, that will be enough to put the best sounds we need, and being fast to load.
If it will be 2gb, I don't care, the problem will be the loading time.
But if we have a USB to connect a pendrive for some reason, will be good too. Maybe to load a extra sample that you recorded in your phone and want to do some crazy sounds using the sample feature like the Nord Wave has.
But all that only if the new Nord Stage comes with all those features from the wave, lead2x....

+1 on the speed!! One good thing about the Nord is really the immediate connection to the sound and having to wait even seconds would kinda kill that. So I would presume they have a ROM and RAM of the same size and load it up at each startup to make this happen?!

Anyway, I now agree that probably a Stage 2 is underway. And will be exciting how it will finally look like! Even without much new stuff, Nord coule easily integrate the technology of other boards while keeping an (even more) intelligent UI. And I am really curious how much they will charge for it! In any case it would be a temptation to upgrade from my EX and probably should already start saving for it. Let's see!

Where should I check for news from NAMM? I'm really curious about this one.

I hope it will be a Nord G3 or a Nord Wave 2 with Hold / Arpeggio and more effects.
