I would like to boost piano volume (on/off) using a control pedal for solo. Is this possible without purchasing other equipment except pedal of course?
Thank you.

Re: Live volume piano boost
Quai34,
I have the morph working for control pedal but the 1/4 jack is not responding correctly - drove me nuts why it wouldn't work. Only works when the input is part way in maybe 1/4 in out. Never used before I hope input jack isn't defective . Tried other chords and same thing. Thanks for your help at least I know I can do it.

Re: Live volume piano boost
1/4 inch plug needs to be TS (tip, sleeve) mono, non-balanced. Sounds like your 1/4 jack may be TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) either balanced or stereo.

Re: Live volume piano boost
What pedal make and model are you using?
And what is the label of the connector you insert the plug into?
Does the plug look like a "stereo" connector?

I have a Boss FS-5L Foot Switch. Regular 1/4 jack input. Mono input. I tried the mono chord and still can't get it to work without pulling it out of the nord a little.

Whoops the jack I'm talking about is your output jack. Control pedal jack needs to be TRS.

That is the wrong pedal for the Control Pedal input.
You need something like the Roland EV5 or Yamaha FC7 or similar. They have a stereo plug at the end and an potentiometer inside the pedal. As you move the foot it changes resistance.
Your current pedal has just a switch that opens and closes the circuit. It could be used as sustain or rotor controller, but for for expression.

Re: Live volume piano boost
Thanks Mr G,
I was hoping I could just switch it on off but I can use the wheel instead. I have the FC7 for the swell on the organ side. No big deal.

Re: Live volume piano boost
That's why I have two FC7, one for organ e for control, most of the time doing a morph on volume....
