Re: Kb Gate function, any example?
Just to be sure (I checked my manual but it's not clear...), the triple pedal is supposed to function as the Latch pedal/Gate right?... I mean, the pedal in the middle...?

Correct, or a pedal connected to Rotary/Latch input, if you set it as Latch in the System menu, as written in the manual
If you use a Nord Triple Pedal, the center pedal on that unit will be the designated latch pedal A standard sustain pedal connected to the Rotor/Latch input can also be used If you use the Rotor/Latch input, you need to change a setting in the System Menu, read more about this on “Rotor/Latch Pedal Func” on page 43

Re: Kb Gate function, any example?
Ok, thanks, so, I got it right...BUT: I tried it last time just for the Sostenuto effect on Piano, played an octave, press down the middle pedal and it didn't worked. The octave was supposed to keep playing and I was supposed to be able to play over it, right? I checked my Stage 2, both Kb Gate and Latch pedal were on, so, could it be a dirty contact in the middle pedal as explain in an other thread? I tried the Soft pedal (Left one...) and it didn't seem to give me a real softer sound...

Did you enable the Latch on the Piano section?

Re: Kb Gate function, any example?
Hum, I think I have both enabled, the Latch and the Kb Gate, am I supposed to have just the Latch on only? And I should press the pedal down first and play the chord I would like to be kept, right? as long as I press the pedal down, the chord will stay, right?

You can't have the "KeybGate" enabled on Piano Section because it only exists on the Synth; maybe a picture of your Piano & Synth sections may help us to help you better?

Re: Kb Gate function, any example?
Sorry, Max, but you're wrong on that one...the KBGate function definitely exists in the Piano Sections of the NS2/NS2EX, as does the latch.
Quai34, note that the latch function will not be as huge a deal on pianos as it might be on organs or synths due to the natural decay of piano sounds. The lower notes will of course continue to sound longer than higher ones, but not in the same way as organs/synths. And YES, disengage the LATCH and only use KBGATE to achieve that effect.
Borys, I watched your EXCELLENT video, but it looks to me like you have taken this trick to new heights, apparently by setting the instrument's Latch/Rotor pedal setting to be the opposite of what it really is. This is really quite brilliant! Instead of gating the sound out, the sound is inserted when the pedal is struck.
For those using the Nord Triple Pedal this may not be possible, but for those using a single pedal on the Latch/Rotor connection, this is AN AMAZING HACK!

Re: Kb Gate function, any example?
Right Pablo, another memory glitch, probably because I only used it on the synth. I stand corrected
So to have only the Latch (Sostenuto) effect on the Piano its KeybGate must be off (not active)

Re: Kb Gate function, any example?
At all of you guys, thanks, I use it one time in the past when I bought the Stage 2, reading the manuals and the emails from Pablo at that time (Glad for him it was email, otherwise, much more difficult to understand me with my Strong F......g French accent...just kidding) but I haven't use it since that time....But they ask me so much in my Band: "Good song for you you know, you have AP, EP, Hammond and Synth".....that I'm trying to use as much as I can some tricks to do it all with two hands only...and yes, my two feet as well.
So, thanks a lot again.
Sincerely
