Curious if you know how many megabytes of FLASH RAM you have in a Nord Stage 2. I know you have something like 386mb (is that right?) in the synth section to load Nord sample library material. But how many mb do you have in the piano section to load Nord Piano library material?

Also is there a way to import your OWN pianos into the piano section or just theirs? I like the Sample Editor but being able to bring in sounds with just one velocity layer is limiting.

No you cannot load your own piano samples to the piano section, only to sample memory.

you have 512 MB. In practicality, somewheres around 480 MB, since there is a bit of wastage.

So, 480 total? Would that be essentially 100mb for the piano section and 380ish for the sample memory in the synth section?

I wonder if the pianos have any data compression (anyone know?). A shame we can't import our own piano samples. OR at the very least multiple velocity instruments into sample memory so we can make something dynamic like a piano and just load it into the synth section.

No, you misunderstood. The Piano section is 480 all by itself...there is another 350 or so for sample memory. The two memories are separate, and the ratio cannot be adjusted.

Ohhhh... that's GREAT news! Apart from the part about not being able to load in your own multi-dynamic instruments (pianos etc) into the 480mb area. But maybe they'll make the Sample Editor have more capabilities so you could build a piano instrument (there has to be at least an in-house tool they use to do it already - just not as pretty as the Sample Editor - oh wait that's not pretty either! lol)
