Hi All,
I'm trying to fit new rubber key contacts to my Fatar Studiologic SL-880. (I know this isn't Nord related, but they do use Fatar keybeds, and I do use it to play the acoustic pianos on my Stage EX).
I've replaced the contacts for the entire keyboard and the whole octave from middle c to the c above is dead.
As I was fitting the last strip I noticed that one side of the strip has a small nick in it, and I wondered if the strips have to be fitted a certain way round? Also, the 2 rubber indents for each key are slightly different, so does it matter what way round they are?
I hope someone can help, or my SL-880 is for the scrap heap and I wanted to use it for playing the Nord Stage's pianos :o(
Thanks & regards
Andy

Hi Andy,
If you haven't already found an answer, and for the benefit of any "search orphans".
The nick in your contact strip isn't an issue but the orientation of the high and low contacts very much would be.
This post has excellent information about FATAR contact strip replacement.

Hello, do you by chance still have your SL880 and would you like to sell it in any condition? Thanks

Hi Scifilovestory. Sorry for the late reply! I've not been on this forum for a long time.
My SL-880 ended up in a skip. Damn thing was dead from end to end and to be honest, I was glad to see the back of it!
